there is no such thing as the best color in fengshui. just becareful with bright colors like red, orange and yellow, as these can activate both good and bad chi. when you good chi is activated, good things happen; when bad chi is activated, bad things happen.

the setup for bedrooms is that you put them in a location with good chi combination (based on your flying star chart). the location is not a permanent place, but it depends on what fengshui concept/ formula are you using. with flying stars, the chart is calculated using the facing degree of the main door of the house, and when you first moved into the house (or when the house has its last major (at least 2/3’s) renovation, whichever is latest). then you can use the chart to identify which areas has the good combinations, and which areas has the bad energy.

but the bedroom do not attract wealth. the secret lies in the location of your kitchen and the positioning of your stove. or just activate the current mountain star (also based on flying stars).

with health, you can activate current water star, or position the doors of the rooms in the house (based on xuan kong da gua). you can also manipulate the facing of the house to have flying star chart where all of the mountain and base adds up to ten, then the whole house will be auspicious regarding to health, and the occupants will always look good and young.

other things to note regarding bathrooms:
    - mirror should not be in front of the door/ opening
    - be careful in locating the toilet, it is tricky because it can be deadly to the occupants of the bedroom (case to case basis)
    - don’t over decorate the bathroom esp with flowers and plants, which can complicate things
    - keep it simple
    - it is ideal to have a room like a dresser separating the bedroom from the bathroom; and avoid sharing a wall (where the toilet is connected) with that of the bedroom

    bedroom:
    - no mirrors in the bedroom
    - no water features like an aquarium
    - no plants
    - keep it more yin than yang

The best color for the bedroom is pink. This is the color of love in feng shui. If you’re trying to attract a mate, then peach is a good color, but change it to pink after the relationship is established to prevent a wandering eye. Or if you’re trying to awaken the passion, then use red.

You can also choose colors for your rooms based upon where they correspond to the feng shui octagon. So for example, if your bathroom is located in the “family” section of your home, then any color in the blue or green spectrum is auspicious.

  3. Remember in Feng Shui we have Yin and Yang. Yang is active and vibrant, whereas, Yin is passive and quiet. In the bedroom it is recommended one has more Yin energy and less Yang energy. This is because the bedroom is a place to rest and rejuvenate the body. Having too strong of an energy will not allow the body to rest fully.

Therefore, the color, from the linens to the wall colors should be quiet and calming colors. Of course avoid bright or too much color in the bedroom. Therefore, color like red, orange, or yellow are not advised for the bedroom. These colors are too Yang for the bedroom. However, cool colors like sage, pastels, and earth tones are fine. Go with a color that you will be comfortable with and feel relaxed in.

In Feng Shui there are no exact rules on color. Just remember the concept of Yin and Yang, go with more Yin colors in the bedroom and Yang colors in living rooms or dining rooms. Look at the purpose of the room and choose according. Ask yourself is this a Yang space? or Yin space? Which type of chi do you want in a particular room? Then go with what color you like but keeping in mind the tone of the color.

    Good luck and sweet dreams.
